National Safety Awards 2020 Official Website Hacked

The official website of National Safety Awards 2020, www.nsa.nationalsafetytv.com has been suspended.


The project director of the awards dedicated to COVID-19 Safety Champions and Care Givers, Abdullahi Wakawa disclosed this in statement in Abuja on Thursday.


He said “the official website of the highly anticipated award of year is down now, due to unwarranted attacks and sabotage by hackers with fraudulently agenda”.


He promised that the site, undergoing reconstruction will soon be restored with “fortified security” but warned sponsors and advertisers to only reach out to these numbers 08033297606, 08186673902, 08068997708 or forward emails to: safetytelevision@gmail.com for urgent enquiries.

Abdullahi confirmed that the Cyber hitches on their official website necessitated the postponement of the Safety Webinar Conference slated for October 16, which was expected to feature the release of the names of the awardees.


He stated further, that the announcement of the Awardees will begin in batches on Tuesday October 20, 2020.


While regretting the inconveniences resulting from the postponement and website attack, he said the committee finally resolved to host the COVID-19 safety Webinar Conference on November 2, to commemorate the UN World Day for Safety of Journalists. The event is organized by Media Centre for Safety Reporting (MCSR) and partners.
