EFCC PROBE REPORT: MAGU INDICTED, MAY FACE PROSECUTION.

The Justice Ayo Salami Presidential Judicial Panel of Inquiry set up by President Muhammad Buhari to investigate the Commission’s activities from May 2015 to May 2020 and commenced sitting on the 6th of July 2020, with 113 witnesses, 46 petitions and memorandum; have allegedly indicted the former embattled EFCC chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Magu.

Information exclusively available to Newsreel, indicates that Magu may be rearrested and prosecuted, if the President decides to walk the talk in the fight against corruption.

According to the report, there will be more recovery of money and landed properties from affected officers of the Commission whose accounts have been investigated and found to be in possession of funds that could not be accounted for.

It was also discovered, that Magu and his men in EFCC, sold some recovered properties and pocketed the proceeds; While some were identified, to have converted suspects property to personal use.

There are strong indications that current acting chairman of the Commission may be replaced, even as the Magu may be counting his last days in police, if the report is implemented.
