4th in the series of empowerment and mega in nature, Honourable Abiodun James Faleke gives away 100 mini-buses also known as “korope”, tricycles, Deep freezers, Generators, Grinding Machines, Sewing Machines, Hair Driers, amongst others
The lawmaker representing Ikeja constituency at the Federal House of Representatives is of the view that direct empowerment of his constituents will enhance his duty as a lawmaker.
James Abiodun Faleke, on Wedsnesday gave out 100 mini-buses (Korope) to his constituents as part of his empowerment programme.
Another 100 people went home with cash.
The lawmaker also distributed 50 deep freezers, 100 grinding machines, 50 2.4 KVA generators, 30 industrial sewing machines and Butterfly/Singer sewing machines at the Police College, Ikeja venue of his “Mega Empowerment” programme.
Faleke, who is representing Ikeja Constituency, had on Tuesday donated ICT centres to Ojodu and Ogba grammar schools.
He also inaugurated a block of two classrooms with furniture and solar- powered system, backed up by inverter and ceiling fan.
No fewer than 130 SS1 pupils got one laptop each.
According to him, 18 transformers will be distributed to the wards in Ikeja Constituency, while 67 streets will be lit soon.
Faleke said another 100 streets will benefit from the solar-powered street light project.
He said he dedicated more resources to empowerment because Ikeja has no federal roads or institution to benefit from the Federal Government.
“What we can do is to engage our people to be self-sustained and help them get employment. We have secured employment for 96 of our people at the federal level. We have done our best to bring the dividends of democracy to over 1,120 people and we will continue to do more,” he said.
The lawmaker appealed to the beneficiaries to make use of the equipment.
All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos Vice Chairman (Lagos West) Chief Funsho Ologunde hailed Faleke’s gesture.
He said the federal lawmaker has justified the confidence and trust reposed in him by the party.
The beneficiaries who were full of praise for Honourable faleke pryed to God almighty to shower more prosperity on him and pledged to put the equipments into judicous use.
Ologunde congratulated the beneficiaries and enjoined them to use the items to turn their lives around.
The event was witnessed by royal fathers, party leaders, council chairmen, youths and market leaders.
