#RestructureNigeriaNow: Senate President, Ahmed Lawan Under Fire For Criticizing Southern Governors Over Restructuring

The senate president of Nigeria, Ahmed Lawan is currently under fire after criticizing the southern governors for calling for restructuring of country.

The governors had in a meeting requested that President Muhammadu Buhari restructures the country due to some of the things that have been happening latetly, in a way to bring peace to the people.

Lawan in his response noted that elected officials should be the ones to lead the call for restructuring in Nigeria, while the speaker of the house of representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila noted that governors should join the call for restructuring in Nigeria.

Angered by this, some Nigerians have called out the duo on their social media and expressed their disappointments in them.

While others questioned if they are Nigerian National Assembly or Assembly of Foreign Nationals who do nothing but, approve foreign borrowings for Nigeria, which amount to high debt profile for the country.
