Miss Safety Africa 2021: Pageant To Raise Safety Awareness in Africa

Supreme Royal Concept Communications (a media outfit) has concluded plans to host the maiden edition of a beauty pageant that will inculcate safety standards in corporate and individual lives.

The Project Coordinator, Mrs Angela Nwangwa, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Thursday that the pageant entitled “Miss Safety Africa’’, would also promote economic development.

According to Nwangwa, the beauty competition organised in collaboration with the Media Centre for Safety Reporting(MCSR), will feature participants from Nigeria and other African countries.

She said that the maiden edition had been scheduled to hold on Dec. 12 in Lagos, and would attract entrepreneurs, politicians and entertainers.

She said that the contest would help to raise general safety awareness for higher productivity, economic growth and higher life expectancy.

“It is an annual event of continental base with global outlook that has been conceptualised to deepen safety culture in workplaces, schools, roads and homes.

“The event will help instill safety awareness in the society beginning with women.

“Miss Safety Africa is an educative rebranding platform for ambitious African women.

“Women will, through the pageantry, produce internationally acclaimed safety ambassadors with skills in business and advance networking,’’ she said.

Nwangwa said that participants would be trained on basic safety and security protocols, by certified local and international experts.

The project coordinator said that contestants must be from Africa and reside in Africa.

She added that participants would be expected to possess degrees from recognised institutions.

Nwangwa, however, said that school certificate, Ordinary National Diploma and Higher National Diploma holders would be considered.
