National Spokesman Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria. President, Safety Practices Education and Research International Forum.

Accidents are a thing of everyday life. They are unplanned, unwanted occurrences and events with various capacities to produce harm in domestic, industrial, commercial and social environments.

They are results of unsolved and unidentified hazards. These hazards produce acute and chronic effects either directly by themselves or indirectly by combining with other things.

Such as the failure to obey or observe safety rules and the failure to put relevant and necessary rules in place. Therefore the worker and the work supervisor have a shared responsibility in monitoring compliance and effectively ensuring workplace safety.

The family is an enterprise where every member must exhibit a sense of responsibility towards the overall safety of the house and entire home environment.

And to achieve this, a level of reasonably acceptable safety awareness and consciousness is required to have appreciable alertness with regards to hazards identification, elimination and reduction to as low as reasonably practicable.

Safety is a common right. Though an academic and professional area of study, research and practice; The necessity of due diligence and duty of care makes safety management everybody’s business and a collaborative responsibility of society (the government and the people).
