World Charity Day 2022: AIC Holds Charity Walk in Lagos.

As part of activities lined up to celebrate the United Nations International Day of Charity, Africa Institute for Charity (AIC) has announced preparation for a Charity Walk on Saturday, September 3, 2022.

In statement signed by the Co-founder and Director of the premier Institute for Nonprofit management in Africa, John Thompson, revealed that the event which begins with Nonprofit leadership lecture series will climax on Monday September 5, 2022.

“In today’s world plagued by unprecedented threats of terrors and woes, challenged by hopelessness and hunger, sorrowfully marred by diseases and deaths; Charity remains the veritable tool for succor towards alleviating humanitarian crisis and completing government’s efforts in rendering public services”.

Pursuit to the realization of Agenda 2030, the ‘United Nations recognizes that eradicating poverty in all its forms and dimensions, including extreme poverty are the greatest global challenge and an indispensable requirement for sustainable development.

“The Agenda also calls for a spirit of strengthened global solidarity, focused in particular on the needs of the poorest and most vulnerable.
It also acknowledges the role of the diverse private sector, ranging from micro-enterprises to cooperatives to multinational and that of civil society and philanthropic organizations in the implementation of the new Agenda”.

Therefore, Africa Institute for Charity (AIC) is calling on “lovers of Charity, individuals and corporate organizations to support, partner and share in this Charity Walk towards raising awareness on the strategic social security importance of giving and sharing”.

Inline with Africa Institute for Charity 2022 theme “Give….Give Account for Impact”, the Director said ‘ Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership of AIC in conjunction with National Development Institute, U.S.A, will Give FREE Lectures on Nonprofit Leadership and management”.

Interested members of the public with requisite qualifications can take advantage of this opportunity to become a Certified Nonprofit Professional”.

The lectures are slated to commence on Monday 29 August to end on Thursday 1st September 2022, the statement said.

While Monday 5th September World Charity Day 2022, is the grand finale, which will witness Fellowship Inductions, Investitures and the official launch of the continental premier Africa Institute for Charity-AIC.
