Civic Engagement: My Government Will Set Up Avenues for Ndi Abia To Offer Ideas and Feedback To Enable Us Improve …..Alex Otti
Inline with the people centred agenda of the Labour Party, the governorship candidate of the party in the state, Dr. Alex Otti, has given a hint to what Abians should expect from his government as they go to the polls on Saturday 18th March, 2023.
He challenged Abians to brace up and take ownership of their state by being part of the governance system of his administration, through electing him as their governor thereby activating an all new non-stop civic engagement module already developed to mainstream Abians into the shared development dimensions of the state.
Otti stated this via his social media handles, thus:
“I do not pretend to have all the answers to the challenges that we face. Hence, I will set up avenues through which Ndi Abia can offer their ideas, and feedback to enable us improve.
To achieve this, there will be dedicated hotlines, email addresses and other channels through which we can be reached.
These channels will be manned by well trained and highly motivated people to make sure that feedbacks and suggestions received are not only escalated but are handled appropriately. Periodic town hall meetings shall be organised to hear directly from the people.
We will actively seek collaboration with town unions, the church, other religious bodies, other states, regional blocks, traditional rulers, financial institutions within and outside Nigeria, and donor agencies in our quest for a better Abia.”
The above submission by Alex Otti of Labour Party, captures the quote by Tulsi Gabbard to an extent which states “It’s when we care for each other – choosing inclusion and love over division and hatred – that this great country is at its greatest”.
