Abia Election Results: “If God Had Not Chosen Alex Otti As Governor, Most Abians Would Not Have Being Christians Again”β¦.Uche Ogah, Former APC Guber Candidate
The revelation following the emergence of Dr. Alex Otti as the winner in the keenly contested governorship election held on the 18th of March, 2023, may linger a little longer.
In his opening remark as the keynote speaker at the 62nd Synod of the Methodist Church Nigeria, presided over by His Grace Most Rev.Dr. Chibuzor Raphael Opoko, Archbishop of Archdiocese of Umuahia, Abia state; the former Minister of state for Solid Minerals, Dr. Uche Ogah, who hinged his speech on Faith congratulated the Governor-Elect of Abia state, Dr. Alex Otti and enjoined Abians to continue their prayers for Dr Alex Otti, because according to him “we are not dealing with human beings, so all the Governor-Elect needs from us is prayersβ¦prayersβ¦.prayers!

The two time candidate of All Progressives Congress party in Abia state, further stated that “If God had not chosen Alex Otti as Governor, most Abians would not have being Christians again”, because they hinged their Faith in God for deliverance.
Speaking from his 6-page keynote paper themed: Contending for the Faith, with Biblical text taken from Jude verse 3 and 4, the former Minister warned that ‘the Church is under attack’.
He therefore, called on the church to ‘earnestly contend for the Faith’ by shunning modern day Heresies and twisted gospel.

He further admonished the incoming government to work with the Body of Christ in our schools to stem the onslaught of cultism and gangsterism in our learning institutions.
Ogah is of the opinion that “churches should be allowed to takeover the schools to be able to mould our children to remain in the Faith”. He was later honoured with special recognition award of achievement for his contribution to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
