The Abia Governor-Elect, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR has felicitated with the revered Obi of Onitsha and Chairman of South East Council of Traditional Rulers, His Majesty, Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Ugochukwu Achebe, CFR,mni, who turned 82 today.

In a birthday message to celebrate Igwe Alfred Achebe, Dr. Otti described him as an accomplished statesman, revered Royal Father, and a Peace loving Senior Citizen with progressive ideas and charisma worthy of emulation.

In his words “Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe is Royalty personified because he has consistently brought class and colour in leadership as a First Class Traditional Ruler, and has ensured that the best of our culture is seen and felt at all times and in a manner that has been thrilling and inspiring”.

The Abia Governor-Elect applauded Igwe Achebe for being outstanding in many facets of human endeavour which include but not limited to Culture, Education,Industry etc, describing him as a man who has utilised his education and influence to engender peace, unity and development for the good of humanity.

The ex bank Chief recalled the beautiful memories and very strong relationship he had with the Royal Father while they worked closely in the corporate world, a relationship he said has remained wonderful, and thanked him for his outstanding services to Anambra state, Igbo Land and Nigeria at large, and above all, his passion and selfless desire to continually serve humanity.

He called on Igwe Achebe to continue to uphold those worthy statesmanly virtues which have seen him enjoy deserved recognition, respect and accolades wherever he goes, assuring him that his name would continue to be associated with excellence and positive accomplishments.

Finally, the renowned economist prayed God to continue to bless and uphold Igwe Achebe in good health to enable him offer more services to the society, even as he influences the younger generations to imbibe the culture of seevice to humanity in all facets of human endeavour.
