GOV. ALEX OTTI TO REBUILD ADDITIONAL 12 GENERAL HOSPITALS BEFORE DECEMBER, 2023 – ABIA INFORMATION COMMISSIONER

The Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti has concluded plans to rebuild additional 12 General Hospitals in the State before end of December, 2023.

The Commissioner for Information and Culture in Abia State, Prince Okey Kanu disclosed this while briefing Government House Correspondents on the outcome of this week’s Executive Council meeting.

He said the General Hospitals would be rebuilt and fully equipped adding that the 3 General Hospitals currently undergoing renovation would be fully completed and equipped in few weeks’ time.

Prince Kanu made public that some Abians in the diaspora have indicated their willingness to collaborate with the State government to provide quality healthcare services to Abians.

He however, regretted that before now, many Abians were not using Government hospitals and stressed that the narrative is being changed with what the Government of Dr. Alex Otti is currently doing in the health sector in the State.

The Commissioner further informed that the Light Up Abia Initiative and the Free Medical Services by the government were ongoing in fulfillment of the Governor Alex Otti’s campaign promises.
