Ease of Doing Business: Abia State Government Set To Tackle Perennial Flooding In Ariaria Int’l Market Aba
The Abia State Commissioner for Trade, Commerce and Industry, Dr Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu and Engineer Otumchere Oti, have assured Ariaria International Market traders and indeed Aba residents that Gov. Alex is committed towards ensuring a business friendly environment for economic activities and alleviating pains caused by flooding in the commercial city.

Dr. Chimezie Ukaegbu, made this known during a joint impact assessment visit with Works Commissioner on Saturday, which is geared towards finding a lasting solution to the perennial flood issues in Aba.
The Commissioners with engineers toured round the market, especially the heavily affected areas. The also used the opportunity to freely interact with directly affected traders and residents for first hand information.
They Also Paid a Visit To The Very Popular Ifeobara Basin Around Faulks Road, Aba.
The Commissioner for Trade, Commerce and Industry, Dr Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu also visited the Site of the A-line remodelling where he commended the quality of work, ongoing at the market.
The State Commissioner for Works, Engineer Otumchere Oti also reassured Traders that Government would go back to the “Ariaria Master plan” in a bid to tackle the issue permanently.
